Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

1 11 2006

Woke up this morning on my day off to howling winds and gray skies. November is here. Snow by midnight tonight with 3 inches expected over the next couple days. Living in Michigan, it’s impossible to tell each year when winter will start and when it will end. It’s the longest season but sometimes the most beautiful. I was reminded this morning of a Gordan Lightfoot song titled the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I found a tribute video on YouTube and thought I would post it here. This was one of his better known songs (likely the only one that really made him famous). The pictures in the slide show are wonderful. Take a look. It’s a little long but worth the listen.
